COMPENSATION

The intern will be compensated at a rate of $8 per hour to be paid on a bi-weekly basis.

SUMMARY

The Public Relations Intern will play an active role in creating public relation marketing strategies and tactics for the Company and/or its clients. The intern will learn a multi-faceted public relations program including research, planning, writing materials, implementations and management. Under our leadership team, the intern will hone their public and media relation skills within the sports industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the development of press releases, columns, blogs and website content.
  • Create and manage content calendars.
  • Monitor trends in Company and/or client’s industries
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of media campaigns.
  • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results, utilizing advanced analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Working toward a degree in PR, communication, journalism, marketing, business or a related field.
  • Excellent online communications, writing skills, listening skills, multi-tasking skills, ability to work individually and practice sound judgment.
  • Think and solve critical issues creatively and help increase visibility of Company and/or client in a positive light.
  • Track and analyze media metric/impressions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

COMMITMENT

20 – 25 hours per week
